Nella fattispecie e come volevasi dimostrare, la carica di Lord Chester ha certamente scompaginato l&#8217;ala sinistra dei baroni di Simon de Montfort, ma fra inseguimenti e reazione della cavalleria avversaria le perdite sono state elevate. Una serie di attivazioni fortunate e contro attivazioni a vuoto, hanno per\u00f2 consentito alle forze di Enrico III di attaccare la linea dei nemici. Il punteggio, prima dello scontro decisivo vede i nobili ribelli in vantaggio 11 a 3 ( livello di rotta dei realisti 22, quello dei baroni 25). Se Chester non avesse caricato, probabilmente i baroni non avrebbero questo vantaggio.
